We provide an authentic digital Assamese Calendar, Bhaskarabda Astronomical Almanac, Vedic Daily Horoscope, and Assamese Phonetic Keyboard through our Android mobile application (Package Name: com.nahor.app) and our official website hosted at https://nahor.kahuwa.in/.

This Privacy Policy governs how we collect, store, process, and protect your information in full accordance with the Google Play Developer Program Policies, the Information Technology Act, 2000 (India), and the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021.

2. Core Data Safety: 100% Offline by Design

We strongly believe in privacy-by-design. You can use Nahor Calendar without creating an account, without entering your mobile number, and without providing any government or identity documentation.

Traditional solar calculations (Surya Siddhanta), Lahiri Ayanamsa tithis, Government of Assam gazetted holiday lookups, and offline 24-hour Chandra Gochar Rashifal algorithms operate completely on-device without transmitting your activity to our servers.

3. Information We Collect & How We Use It

We only process data when necessary to deliver requested functionalities:

A. Optional Google Sign-In (User Profile Sync)

If you choose to use optional cross-device synchronization (for notes, personal reminders, and festival bookmarks), you may authenticate using Google Sign-In.

• Data Received: Your public display name, email address, and profile photo URL provided by Google OAuth 2.0.
• What We Do NOT Access: We never see, access, or store your Google account password.
• Purpose: Authenticating your identity and securely linking your saved notes and calendar preferences so you do not lose them when switching phones.

B. Third-Party Advertising (Google AdMob)

To keep this cultural almanac free and accessible to all citizens of Assam and worldwide Assamese diaspora, our application displays non-intrusive advertisements served by Google Mobile Ads (AdMob).

• Identifiers Collected by AdMob: Pseudonymous device identifiers such as the Google Advertising ID (GAID), coarse IP location (country or state level for regional compliance), and diagnostic logs.
• Ad Personalization Control: You have full control over personalized ads. You can opt out or reset your Advertising ID anytime via your Android device: Settings > Google > Ads > Delete Advertising ID or Reset Advertising ID.

C. Server API & Update Checks

When connected to the internet, the app may query our secure REST API (https://nahor.kahuwa.in/backend/api/) to check for almanac revisions, holiday notifications, and live 5:00 AM Gochar daily updates. Only non-personally identifiable metadata (app version code and standard HTTP headers) are transmitted over encrypted TLS.

Our services are not directed to individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal identifiable information from children under 13. We implement stringent technical and organizational security measures:

• Transport Encryption: All data exchanged with our servers is encrypted in transit using industry-standard TLS 1.3 / SSL encryption over HTTPS.
